From March 20 – March 31, the Somerset Elementary Student Council, in partnership with the Somerset PTSA, will be organizing a hygiene drive to help young community members who desperately need these essential supplies.  All donations will go to KidVantage (formerly Eastside Baby Corner), an Eastside organization that works to provide everything a kid needs to thrive – clothes, toys, books, shoes and even hygiene items! All teachers' classrooms will have bags to collect donated hygiene items.  Please note, we can only accept new and unopened products, items must be appropriate for kids ages 0 to 12yrs old.

To ensure that we gather enough of each needed hygiene item to create kits for dispersal, we’ve categorized the donation type by grade level:
  • Kindergarten: Travel-size toothpaste, travel-size kids toothpaste, toothbrushes
  • 1st grade: Travel-size shampoo/conditioner, travel-size baby shampoo/body wash
  • 2nd grade: Travel-size moisturizer/lotion, travel-size baby moisturizer/lotion
  • 3rd grade: Combs, brushes, hair ties & accessories, floss
  • 4th grade: Deodorant, travel-size hand sanitizer
  • 5th grade: Washcloths/face cloths, bar soap
  • All grades & teachers: 4T, 5T, or 6T Pull-ups & wipes (opened diaper packages is fine, wipes need to be new/unopened)
Thanks so much for your generosity!
