What is the Color Run?

A twist on our traditional Walk-A-Thon Spring Fundraiser, the Color Run is an event that is inspired by the Hindu festival of Holi (AKA the Festival of Colors). Families are invited to get moving with their students and community as they walk/run the course around Somerset Elementary School, stopping at Color Checkpoints to decorate themselves with colored "chalk" (food-grade cornstarch) to celebrate healthiness, happiness, and individuality.
