During our 2023-2024 Fall Fundraising Drive, we were thrilled to receive approximately $100,000 in generous donations from our community.
In December, we granted $150,000 to our General School Assistants (GSA) at Somerset Elementary, maintaining our support at a consistent level for several years. However, with annual increases in hourly wages, this constant grant amount has unfortunately led to a decrease in available hours for our GSAs.
To further our commitment to excellence in education, we are also in the process of securing an additional $50,000 grant for school curriculum enhancement. Despite our successful fundraising efforts in the fall, we are currently facing a $100,000 budget deficit.
Recognizing the challenge ahead, and with the absence of an auction chair to lead our traditional spring auction, we are pivoting to a Spring Fundraising Drive. Let's come together once again to support the heart of our community—our students. Your generosity will directly impact their learning environment, helping to sustain and enhance the quality education that Somerset Elementary is known for.
